Awesome Sunbeam Product
I've had the Sunbeam heart shaped waffle maker for about 12 years now and it's still going strong and works great so I didn't hesitate to buy this cupcake maker and also the donut maker. We have an 11 year old who loves to help cook so this was perfect for her. WOW is all I can say. I have a $2,000 Kitchenaid convection oven and I'll never use it again to bake cupcakes or muffins. The first morning we used it I tried it with one of those Martha White quick mix muffin mix and they were perfect. I find that even with an expensive oven I have to usually turn the muffin tins around half way through baking but this bakes everything evenly. I JUST finished 2 dozen cupcakes from a Duncan Heines cake mix and they turned out better then anything I've made in my oven. Set the kitchen timer for 12 minutes and each batch was done perfectly. If you're in a super hurry maybe not the best option as you can do it faster in a regular oven but it was half the work not having to worry about...
Great Gift!
I gave this cupcake maker to my sister as a housewarming/christmas gift. Not only did she love the way it looks (so cute) but she also said that the cupcakes turned out great!
After much research, I chose to buy her this cupcake maker because I read other good reviews and because it made large (regular sized) cupcakes and not the mini ones.
Great and easy!
I got this to use with my students at school to make cupcakes when we were studying measurement. It smoked a little when I first plugged it in, but that only lasted for about 2 minutes and it has not smoked since. The students were amazed that they could make perfect cupcakes in 10 minutes. They had a blast. It was a little hot getting the cupcakes out, but luckily the decorated cupcake papers were tall enough that we could use them to help get them out of the cupcake maker. I have also used it to make cornbread muffins and they turned out great. I thought that I would try making brownies in them and they also turned out perfect, however the next time I will not use the paper cupcake wrappers when making the brownies because they stuck to them. The brownies took between 12-15 minutes to cook in the cupcake maker. I also like that it has cord storage under it so that it is out of the way.
