good enough, price less-than-great
This works as it should, though the foam is of a slightly different nature (larger pores = worse filtering?) than the original Dyson-made filter.
So you know, this aftermarket filter is available at an auction site (from the same seller) for half the price listed on Amazon (and with free shipping).
Vacuum works like new again
I own the original Dyson which is about 12-13(?) years old now. I have never replaced this filter, have just washed out and let dry per the instructions. However, the performance seemed to have dropped off. Thought that replacing this filter might help. Fit right in with no problem and I have definitely noticed an improvement. It works like new again.
Better than the OEM
I replaced the original filter on my Dyson with this lower-cost alternative. The flow through the filter actually has improved, The original seemed to restrict the flow of air.
